This year, we delve deeper into the complex interplay between forests, water, and climate, exploring the impacts of climate change on forest ecosystems and the role of forests in mitigating climate change and enhancing water security. We will also discuss emerging trends in forest management, including nature-based solutions and innovative technologies.

We are excited to hear from experts who will share their insights on a wide range of topics, from the hydrological impacts of forest restoration to the implications of climate change on forest water cycles. The event’s host institutions are Beijing Forestry University (BFU) and Chinese Academy of Forestry (CAF). Other institutions will also support the event, such as governmental agencies, universities, research institutes, and companions in the forestry sector, as well local and national tourism entities.

The conference is organized by the special task of forest and water, supported by the steering committee and scientific committees.
